The future of cycling is here! Cyclists will be able to control their bicycle’s gear shifts with their minds! Made from carbon fiber, the bike designed by Parlee, has a sleek looking frame, but the real magic is changing the gears with brain waves. Here’s how it works: The cyclist has to train and practice with an iPhone app, moving a cube on its screen, until the neural technology associates a thought with the neurotransmission. Once the link is made, all the cyclist has to do is use their training to think in the proper manner and the bike’s gears will shift accordingly. To facilitate the process, the rider would also wear a special helmet, outfitted with proper censors to control the bike. The iPhone attaches to the handlebars to make it possible to change the gears.
